Overview
This is our most ambitious Scottish expedition. We spend four days on the remote Isle of Rum, staying in the shadow of the Rum Cuillin, before crossing to Skye to explore the less-visited western peninsulas. It's a journey into the heart of the Hebrides.
Highlights
- Remote, raw and largely untouched, the Isle of Rum offers a completely different pace to the rest of Scotland. With no roads beyond Kinloch, we move by foot and e-bike through a landscape of dramatic peaks, quiet lochs and vast coastal views, positioning ourselves for light in places few photographers reach. It’s not about ticking off locations- it’s about earning them, understanding them, and coming away with images that feel genuinely hard-won.

Joe
With over 15 years behind the camera, Joe specialises in dramatic landscapes and wildlife photography from some of the world’s most remote locations. His work has been published in The Times, Outdoor Photographer and numerous other leading magazines and newspapers, alongside collaborations with tourism boards and global brands including Canon. Combining technical expertise with an instinct for light and composition, his photography captures the atmosphere of wild places and the stories unfolding within them.
