Overview

This is our most ambitious Scottish expedition. We spend four days on the remote Isle of Rum, staying in the shadow of the Rum Cuillin, before crossing to Skye to explore the less-visited western peninsulas. It's a journey into the heart of the Hebrides.

Highlights

  • Remote, raw and largely untouched, the Isle of Rum offers a completely different pace to the rest of Scotland. With no roads beyond Kinloch, we move by foot and e-bike through a landscape of dramatic peaks, quiet lochs and vast coastal views, positioning ourselves for light in places few photographers reach. It’s not about ticking off locations—it’s about earning them, understanding them, and coming away with images that feel genuinely hard-won.
  • Chartered boat trip to the remote Harris Bay
  • Sunset sessions at Neist Point lighthouse
  • In-depth post-processing masterclasses

  • Expedition leadership and planning
  • Daily in-field tuition (composition, light strategy, fieldcraft)
